Yeah, but, but, Steffy’s dad took money to

I saw this yesterday and got a good chuckle out of it;

State Rep. Kristi Noem, R-Castlewood, is a partner in the Racota Valley Ranch, which received more than $2.7 million in subsidies between 1995 and 2006, according to figures compiled by the Environmental Working Group, a nonprofit organization that compiles farm subsidy data. As of 2006, Noem had a 16.9 percent ownership stake in Racota Valley.

Even if you do the rough math, that is about $41,000 a year, directly to Kristi. Some South Dakotans don’t even make that in a year and she was getting a check from the Feds.

Isn’t it ironic everytime Repblicans like Noem wanna get a dig in on Dems, they use the word ‘socialist’. Next time you wanna go down that road, Kristi, take a good hard look in the freaking mirror.

  1. Yep, Noem is our Bachman to bear.

    No wonder Noem’s done NOTHING to resolve the South Dakota budget deficit crisis – she really must believe that deficits don’t matter, as long as the checks arrive in her account.

  2. But she looks good doing nothing! I have resolved to only vote for hot people! Guess I am voting for Stahly!.

  3. Well, if you are going on looks alone, Stehly would win the Central District hands down, Bob Christenson told her that attractiveness would win her a lot of votes from men.

  4. Every Farmer and owner of Ag land gets subsidies you dipshits. Its called the “Farm Bill”.

  5. K.NAM, yes every farmer does get subsidies but they aren’t all out there talking about the evils of big gov’t while hoping nobody sees them taking cash from the force that’s destroying our feedom. It’s the hypocrisy you dipshit. BTW you really want to see ag subsidies start looking at crop insurance.

  6. typical liberals trying to throw a spin on why kristi is receiving subsidy money – agreed that all ag land owners get subsidies… you fricking libs want to talk hypocrisy – how about herseth-sandlin voting against the health care bill just because of the state she is running for re-election in, and she knows if she voted for it she would be up a creek without a paddle

  7. K. Nam….No matter how you spin it, a subsidy by any other name is welfare. That is the point…….an expressed conservative Republican running on a platform of fiscal responsibility taking what amounts to $40,000 per year of your and my tax dollars. Certainly nothing illegal……….but the hypocracy is mind boggleing. The question……..since the Republican party is hell bent on running a welfare recipient for congress…………is there someone out there that might be better qualified? Hey, I have 3 conservative brothers up in North Dakota who collectively (not including wives and kids) received over $800,000 in farm welfare payments. Add in the government funded free crop insurance and they got a cool $1 Million over the past 15 years. I love my brothers so more power to them!!!!!!!!!!!! Might as well keep welfare in the family………….. I guess. I’m the conservative brother and former farm boy who is not on the Government take……….does that make me bad?
