I’m impressed that Chris Browne and his wife would choose to relocate to the Sioux Empire from the land of Sunshine. If they are interested, I would love to take them, along with our cartoonist conspiracy contingent, to the Nordic Hall this month to partake in a true Viking delicacy, Lutefisk and lefse. Lutefisk is not for the faint-hearted. It’s cod cured in lye. The consistency is similar to jello laced with fish bones. If anyone is squeamish about blubbery, boney fish, swedish meatballs are also available. Dessert includes a cold fruit soup, krumkake, and rosettes. Lefse is similar to a tortilla. However the difference is that it’s made of potato instead of cornmeal.
Digusting (The Lutefisk part) but it would be cool to meet Chris (w/o 20 Argus Jokalists hanging around). I went to the FOUND magazine event at ZANDBROZ a few weeks back, and half the people there were from the Argus. I guess they wanted to prove when they promote something people show up.
