It’s just a flesh wound.

I went to the gas station on Saturday and I think I had to clean my drawers after seeing the price. I even drive a pretty fuel efficient car and ride my bike for short trips. But when you have to be dowling out $120 a month just to drive back and forth to work you are going to start to see a recession.

  1. My hubby and I talked about this just the other day. He’s gone Hybrid, I’ll drive my vehicle ’till it dies but then want a plug in. on C-Span book talks, there was a lady in CA that actually has a plug in, they made them for awhile and car companies need to hear from us consumers that we want and would buy one.

I also purchased a bike, but it’s tough to commute the kiddies around on the back of a bike in Jan. 😉

  2. I’m thinking about getting one of those smart cars, I think they will be available in Sioux Falls in the spring. I have only seen a couple in town. The city traffic department owns one, and this IT company owns one, they are pretty cool.

  3. Cute as all get out! If you get one, keep us posted.

They get something like 40 MPG, don’t they? With gas prices, and in town commuting — I think the $11,000 price tag will pay off for itself in no time. I don’t see oil/gas going down in price any time soon.
