Cory has a great article about biking:

I have been (trying) to ride everyday. The rain is stopping me today, but Have been able to do it everyday so far since last Monday. It’s about 7 miles one way on the bike trail. So I don’t have to wade through the traffic in SF (which majorily sucks) because we have incredibly apathetic drivers. So it gets to be a nice workout, because I don’t have to stop for lights. I also have been saving $$$ on gas.
Ah, those curves! Nice wheels! 🙂
Yeah, this is my one-speeder. Usually I ride it over my 21-speeder. It is more comfortable (and a chick magnet).
I’m buying a bike as soon as I can. I live close to the trails and could probably bike to work – although the office is quite a way from home. This $3.50 gas is gonna suck unless I can avoid using it.
I wonder if there are any for sale at the Kingswood rummage…
Check out Prairie Cycles, about 2oth and Minnesota, (across from Deerfield bank) he carries JAMIS and REDLINE, all of his 2007 bikes are on sale.
Since talking about bikes — I think there’s a classified section in the FAB forum, certainly if you joined in their discussion and inquired there might be someone that is trading up that has a decent bike.

Also, Spoke and Sport has a classified section:

Don’t forget about walking – I bought a pair of overshoes (I wnated galoshes or rubbers, but they don’t call them that anymore I guess – politically incorrect to do so at this juncture) for about $20, use an umbrella, bundle up, and walk about a mile to work and back every day – I even use my antique sony walkman once in a while – and may look into getting me one of those new-fangled, fancy schmancy i-pots everyone’s talking about –
