I posted this cartoon way back on April 16, and the Mitchell Daily Republic printed it a couple of days later. So what takes the Gorgoyle Leader so long to catch up with the rest of SD? http://www.argusleader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080506/COLUMNISTS0107/805060330&referrer=FRONTPAGECAROUSEL

BTW, Nice toon John. I could do 100 toons on this topic alone.

We were discussing this at Black Sheep the other day, and I said “Doesn’t it defeat the purpose of camping?” and one of the Barista’s said “But what about people who live in campgrounds” and the other Barista said “Those aren’t campers, they’re homeless.”

  1. I think I’d have to but every security program available before I’d use the free WiFi there or in DTSF. Free WiFi is kinda like sleeping with a crack-ho. You need all the protection there is or ever was.

  2. After reading Nestor’s column, I have to say it’s one of the best, funniest things I’ve read in the argus – including Randell Beck’s early stuff. He actually makes some very good points, unlike most of the argus’ crap.

  3. I like Nestor’s columns, even if he accused me of being a vandal. I may be short and stout, but my belly is still smaller then his and I have more hair.

I also like the new AL blogger Pat Duncan. He is pretty funny.

  4. I’ve been mulling over returning to the argus forum. Lately, the comments below the articles have been in serios need of a slapdown. Maybe I’ll start a blog on their site – I’m thinking of starting one up on my own anyway. The SD blogosphere is in need of more snark.

  5. I use WordPress, and like it. You should start your own, SD123 and DaCola will throw some traffic your way. What ya gonna call it ‘SDRhino’?

  6. I started it on the Argus website and will hopefully move it to my own site when I have the time to tweak it. Right now it’s called RINO Rants: Tales of a Fence Sitter.

  7. Oh, BTW, I’ve linked my argus blog to DaCola and SD123, so you might get a little traffic from our old friends there. Hopefully the trolls will stay on the argus site where they can get more attention.
