Governor Sarah Palin from Alaska

This is a good pick on a female conservative standpoint, but about it. I have always said Tom Ridge would be his best pick and Mitt Romney would be the kiss of death.

  1. I was just going to post about this.

CNBC is reporting that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Is McCain’s VP Pick.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a self-styled “hockey mom” who has only been governor for a little over a year, is GOP Presidential candidate John McCain’s choice for Vice President, CNBC has learned.

What? I can’t believe this is true. Palin is a first termer from a tiny state with zero foreign policy or economic experience. She is also currently under investigation for possibly putting pressure on a top law enforcement officer who refused to fire her ex-brother-in-law.

  2. “She is also currently under investigation for possibly putting pressure on a top law enforcement officer who refused to fire her ex-brother-in-law.”

Can you say Bill Janklow or Mike Rounds?

  3. Wasn’t the pick going to be someone who could compensate for McCain’s economic shortcomings?

  4. I’ll have to email Sideshow’s mom tonight about it. She is a CFO for a state owned hospital for long term care in AK. She would have an opinion on her, and I’m sure crazy Joe would to . . .

I think they decided to go with someone who could make up for his penis and elderliness shortcomings.

  6. I guess women should feel good that he picked a girl, but the fact that a man who, has had 4 bouts with cancer and is older than dirt, picks someone who just a month ago questioned what exactly the job of the vice president is, scares the hell out of me.

Larry Kudlow of CNBC’s “Kudlow & Co.” asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain’s ticket mate.
Palin replied: “As for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.”

If McCain becomes our next president, and he up and croaks, this broad is IT.
    wow.

  7. BTW, because this is the GOP and because she is a woman, would tax payers get a break from not paying her as much as they would if she were a man?

  8. Over at the War College they are giddy as Hell about her. I watched her acceptance speech, she mentioned glass ceilings and then she talked about Hillary and Ferraro (Someone should tell her those two women are liberal feminists.) Hilarious. I don’t think she knows what she got herself into. I can’t wait for the debate with Biden. She better bring a box of tissue.
