I guess a newscaster got fired from KDLT for saying something inappropriate on air. She did apologize for her statements on air and said she would be suspended for a day, but instead was fired.
I guess my question is “What was she apologizing for?” and “Who was the newscaster?” I missed it, so I am just putting it out there.
It reminds me of the time a weekend anchor said ‘BJ’ on air when they were talking about the Roosevelt High bus incident.
Does KDLT have a news department? Who would have known…
Heh, heh, heh! Can’t remember the last time I ever watched KDLT or the news.
Many moons ago I remember KDLT was KORN and located in Mitchell. Denny Pierson (American Family Ins. here now) was a weather guy AND a math teacher.
I guess PP has your answer. I was Melissa Stee
oops fat fingers, it was Melissa Stee
That wasn’t the girl that said BJ.
I remember the time when my brother and I were watching KDLT during the spring of 1986. The station may have still been KXON at the time. They were airing a news break during prime time. A female anchor was doing the news. The screen faded to black at the end of the newscast; but, the audio was still live. The anchor yelled, “Turn off those damned lights! I’m sweating like a pig!” I can’t remember the anchor’s name; but, my brother and I were rolling with laughter.
