I think you are right. I felt he was using self-defense too. But why was he and the victim carrying guns anyway? Another wasted life to gun violence.

The prosecutor madee a mistacke going after him for murder instead of manslaughter. They could have made that one stick.
Still, I think going through life knowing you killed someone is punishment enough in this case. At least it would be for me.
I still think it was self-defense and I agree with the jury
