I’ll give them credit for covering this, but it should have never gotten to the Supreme Court. It is blantantly obvious that Roger Hunt setup a shell corporation to hide a secret donor’s name, some would call that money laundering. I have a feeling we will never know (but I have some pretty good guesses).

  1. Roger Hunt + Promising Future = Lee Breard + South Dakota Conservative Action Council

    Any difference??

  2. You do have a point, but at least the SDCAC has more then one donor and is a PAC. Promising future was just made up to launder money from one person.

  3. SD Conservative Action Council is NOT a PAC because if they were, the SDCAC would have to file a campaign finance report with the Secretary of State’s office.

Instead, they hide behind the same nonprofit corporate structure as Promising Future.

I would even question the assertion that SDCAC has more than one donor. Why? Because Mr. Breard is afraid to tell voters the truth about SDCAC’s finances.

And the result?? South Dakota voters have no idea who is trying to influence their elections.

  4. Well the law changed since Humpty Dumpty hid the money, so if Lee is indeed doing that, someone needs to file a complaint.
