I don’t think she gets it. Now she is blaming Barack Obama; even though I have only heard him talk twice about Abortion during his 22 month campaign. Leslee, please go away.

Unruh cited several reasons for the defeat: There were up to 12,000 new voters in the state and Barack Obama’s visits to South Dakota helped energize abortion-rights supporters.

  1. Indirectly, I think Obama did help in the IM 11 debate. He got thousands of people excited enough to get out and vote for tha first time, and most of the people who planned to vote for Obama voted no on 11.
    Whatever works, I guess.

  2. I don’t know, you can look at that both ways. Sometimes a high voter turnout can be to your advantage, but you may have a point.

But the West River Libertarian comment was weird.

You also need to realize that a lot of pro-life people voted NO to because they either believe in a total ban or they respect the health of a mother.

  3. Good grief. As someone who attended two of Obama’s speeches, the last thing on my mind was Leslie Unruh or the abortion ban. What WAS on my mind is that a supposed “moral” party guts the Constitution, LIES and TORTURES, and for all the “pro-life” speak, are just itching to send our men and women to Iraq (a war all about greed and oil) where we have lost over 4000 + countless Iraqis.

If anyone saw her performance one time on FOX (and Cavuto tried to rescue her a few times to no avail) – she comes off as a dingbat. The more she opens her mouth, she confirms it.

  4. I think they need to come up with a plan ‘B’ instead trying to accomplish the same thing by using the same tactics. But of course, that is typical of neo-cons. Stubborn and resistant to new ideas.
