Howard Dean (my personal political hero) deserves this award more than anyone in the 2008 election cycle (sorry James Carville). He took the successful parts of his presidential bid campaign and applied them on a bigger scale to Obama’s campaign. He also proved his 50 state campaign strategy works. Even in the states Obama lost, he still won half of the demographics. And in Vermont Obama one every single demographic. One of the most important things Dean’s strategy proved was we must campaign to ALL Americans, Right, Left or center, we are in this together.

Bush and Rove divided our country and Obama and Dean will unite it.

I know Dean has been working silently behind the scenes during this whole campaign, but I think it’s time for him to gloat. Yeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooowwwwwwww!

  1. I was thinking the same thing. It was Dean who first used a grassroots, web-based campaign to earn a higher share of votes than a screaming governor of Vermont would normally garner.

Let’s hope the Dems stick to this strategy while they try to fix the mess left by the GOP.

  2. He really is the real ‘Saviour’ of this election and I can’t wait for him to rub it in the Republicans faces, especially the ones who trashed him when he ran for president and a big F’ck You to ABC news.

  3. Dean needs big props for saving the Dem party. Dean’s idea of fundraising on the internet is what made Obama win. His 50 state strategy works and we need to keep working it. Props to Obama too for, in the most part, using the 50 state strategy with his own money which he didn’t have to do. His online fundraising was amazing too, I know I donated more money then I ever thought I would. It was worth it though. None of this could have happened without Dean. Respect.
