I’ve ;long wondered whether there was a real point to the local news other than getting you to watch the next news broadcast.
The weathercast is starting to become annoying. You have to listen to long distance forecasts, record temps, etc, etc before they finally tell you what it is going to be like the next day. I just go to the website from now on.
And this blizzard thingy, WTF? Sure it was cold on Saturday, and I’m sure in the country it sucked, but in SF, it was fine. They need to knock off this BS hype and get a life.
and BTW, it is actually hurting local business, it is a disservice.
Unless you live on the western outskirts of town, there was hardly any drifting of the two inches of snow we got. Shoveling was hardly any work at all until the plow came by.
I can imagine rural roads were a bitch to drive on, though.
I was lucky, the plow came by just as I was getting out of bed, so I shoveled it out right away. Good thing. It was like shoveling gravel. Can’t imagine if I would have let it sit overnight.
