Everytime I see this billboard I just imagine Shawn Cable on it instead of Chris Lien. It reminds me of an advertisement for a Sports Radio station or something. Republicans and creative marketing DO NOT go hand in hand.
Though OJ is going to appeal the verdict I doubt he’ll win. It was good to see that he will have to sit in the clink while his appeal is pending.
Good place for him.
And the hits just keep coming. The story about the Ayres/Obama connection had already circulated during the primaries (can I give you some advice Rick Davis? If you are going to dig up dirt on your opponent, make sure it is something the American people haven’t heard about 5 million times already).
I guess if you have tea or coffee with someone you automatically take on their views. Should Have Obama associated himself with Ayres? Probably not a good idea in hindsight, but certainly not something I’m too worried about. Ayres has apologized for his actions and is regretful. The late 60’s were a turbulent time and there were several radical groups in circulation. Considering that Obama was only 8 years old at the time Ayres was up to his shananigans I doubt Barack knew half the stuff Ayres had did in his past when they first met.
But this concerns me a little more, and am surprised it took the Obama campaign this long to bring up this story. I have always felt that John got away with this with just a slap on the wrist.
Jason Folkarts had a Republican on his KCPO political show. Wait, he always has on Republicans. Kidding aside, he had my favorite city councilor Dr. Kermit Staggers on the show. It was refreshing because;
1) Kermit knows his stuff when it comes to civics (He has a PHD in that stuff).
2) He is an old skool conservative – which is cool – low taxes – small government.
3) He slammed the bailout, I think I liked this quote, “This is going to have to be paid for by people who haven’t even been born yet.” (I think Leslee Unruh is working on that).
4) And best of all, he pretty much made fun of the Vote No on IM 10 TV commercials about teachers not being able to talk to their husbands. Kermit and I agree on this, it is complicated language, but it is a good measure and the other side is LYING THRU THEIR TEETH in the commercials. No surprise though, it is NOT supported by either political party.
5) He loves Sarah Palin. C’mon Kermit! Really?!?! Well not quite, but he was pretty complimentary.
