This should make Angry Guy less angry . . . maybe

If they move me one more freaking time, I’m really gonna be pissed

I was looking for a website this morning and stumbled across the Sioux Falls wiki site, this made me laugh;

In 2006, Men’s Health Magazine ranked Sioux Falls as the 93rd Angriest City in the Nation, out of 100 cities studied in the survey.

And this made me cry

Income

The median income for a household in 1999 in the city is $41,221; in 2003 HUD reported Minnehaha County had a median household income of $45,872, while Lincoln County had a median household income of $59,571. The median income for a family was $51,516 in 1999; in 2005 HUD reported that amount as $56,150. Males have a median income of $32,216 versus $24,861 for females. The per capita income for the city is $21,374. 8.4% of the population and 5.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 10.3% of those under the age of 18 and 7.4% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

I guess we all can’t live in a house with a 4-stall garage, with a heated floor (WTF?) that has 4-bedrooms, all complete with there own washer and dryer and a 14 ft. long kitchen island like councilor Greg Jamison does (see today’s Argus Leader’s City Style Magazine). Can you say, ‘Out of Touch’

SB199 would End the Food Tax

Food prices are up. The economy is down. Increasingly, South Dakota families feel the pinch when grocery dollars go for TAX instead of food.

SB199

• Ends the WHOLE cruel food tax

• Has bi-partisan leadership (Senator Merchant & Representative Cutler)

• Shifts taxes to fully maintain state, city and tribal revenues formerly raised by taxing food. (The revenue is replaced simply by tax shifting, 1/2% more tax to all non-food sales.  Check below to see how this fairer method works.)

• Wisely provides a revenue cushion in case non-food sales slump with the economy. (The cushion is provided by leaving the tax on pop and candy.)

•  Saves state dollars by ending a current state program — The food tax refund program will no longer be needed. It never did reach enough people.

Comment of the day

D.L. Hughley’s take on impeaching politicians.

Hughley: Now I listened to those tapes and I’m not going to hide my affinity for this guy. I never met him before then but to me we have become such a trivial place that we will impeach a man for having sex, or lying about having sex with a woman. In California we will impeach a guy because he raises taxes on license plates because energy gets out of control. We’ll impeach a guy for saying some things on tape. But a man can take us to war and lie and we won’t do a damn thing about that. That makes me so mad.

It’s just like this stimulus package. It’s money well spent bombing a country back to the stone age but hey if it’s for building roads and improving education, it’s a waste.

I just had to laugh at the Sibby like army outside of Johnson’s office in 7 degree weather. Morons. Where was the guy that has a problem with people being out in the cold picking them up and giving them $40.
