Another well maintained Sioux Falls road.
Other cities seem to have the funds to fix their streets.
What happened to Sioux Falls? I’m sure that I’m not the only one asking this question.
Pretty amazing that an out-of-towner even figured out that our city’s priorities in spending on infrastructure is flawed. We are approaching $350 million dollars in debt, and we are over $80 million behind on road maintenance. How can that be? Ask the Flamingo’s at the zoo. Who has money to fix roads when the poor Black Rhinos have to live in a Zebra barn?
They could just fill that one in with a cheap asphalt patch and let it get pitted out within a month so the plow scrapes it right out of the ground the first time it snows. That seems to be how the asphalt accumulates in my yard, anyway.
I think since the city owns the zoo, we should put those Black Rhinos to work tamping and packing in the asphalt by walking on it. Make work for that new barn.
There might be a slight difference for the liability coverage.
The difference being that when a steamroller gets mad, it doesn’t charge and gore/stomp workers to death.
Other than that it’s a solid idea.
