I love how Rachel combines real reporting and journalism with sarcasm. She is funny, smart, unapologetic and gay (what pisses neo-cons off the most). I look forward to her 2010 appearances.
I think Rachel is great. I listened to her always on Air America from day one and now on MSNBC. She is the best.

During the Bush years, I watched her alot. She provided good alternative commentary using her gift of wit. During the Obama year, she is too pollyannish regarding Obama. I think she has lost her mojo.
Some people are more interesting when they are providing alternative thought vs. promoting the people in power and Rachel is this way. Alternately, Rush is better now.
P.S. Her choices in her private life are irrelevant. Your mention of her sexual orientation is an ad hominem attack.

As far as your suggestion that l3wis resorted to an ad hominem attack by mentioning her sexual orientation, you’re simply wrong. l3wis did not suggest in any way her sexual preference was a bad thing, nor did he suggest it was a good thing (inverse ad hominem). He did not attempt to invalidate her options or give additional weight to them merely because she is homosexual and as such in this particular context it is merely meant as a descriptor (as were the other terms he used such as funny and smart).
Rush is better now???!!!!!!!!!!! Compared to what? He was horrible when he was in Sacramento and he didn’t change when he moved to New York City, he just got more obnoxious as he got paid more and more money. Three ex wives can’t be wrong. He is an A-hole.
