  1. He quit right after he started running for mayor. I think he has already made his ‘living’ and then some.

Once you’ve been a part of t denny’s scam… do you really ever just opt out? With “honest mike” as mayor, how long do you suppose it would be before Phillips Avenue is renamed Sanford Avenue?

And don’t think for a minute this is not a topic of conversation at the morning coffee clubs around the city’s various gathering places.

These places have ALWAYS been a clear barometer of the heartbeat of this city. (Right along with this place l3wis)

  3. There are some things that just shouldn’t be changed,name-wise. To me Sioux Valley will always be Sioux Valley. I am also old enough to remember what used to be LaGuardia Airport in New York. I’m sure none of you are that old, but there are some advantages to being old(I guess). lol

  4. About a month ago I received notice from one of my credit cards that effective the first of January my interest rate was going up and I have always paid more than the minimum amount, and always made the payment early, sometimes paying it off in one month. Then the other credit card is raising it’s interest rates, plus with every paper bill they send out there will be a dollar charge.

So am I… and so is everyone else. Because it is still called LaGuardia Airport.

I suspect what you meant to say was you still remember Idlewild Airport… which as we all know was eventually renamed to JFK after he was assassinated.

Someday I’ll be bragging that I am old enough to remember when Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn, and Hummer were still made by GM, and when the tallest building in Chicago was called the Sears Tower… but that’s progress I suppose.
