Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime.

Isn’t Intel supposed to verify this kind of stuff before we start blowing away people and children with a 30 MM cannon?

Maybe they should carry cameras that don’t look like AKs from the cockpit of an Apache death machine. And if you are going to take the family wagon to pick up wounded people bleeding in the streets of Iraq, maybe you should leave your kids at home.

War is hell… but in this case things were done by the book and they had authorization to fire. It is unfortunate, but as long as we engage in combat, these type of incidents will happen.

And sadly that is correct. We can’t play world police and be the nice guy, it just doesn’t work.

Quit excusing incompetence. Quit blaming the victims . . . of an elective war.

There is NOTHING in the video indicating hostile intent. NOTHING. The Nuermberg defense was proven invalid. NOTHING was aimed, NOTHING was pointed. NOTHING fired a shot. NO ONE pointed at the aircraft or at other friendlies. This was a close engagement. The victims would have heard the helicopter.

Even Gen McCrystal (another theater, same soldiers) admitted last week that we’ve killed many, many people who meant us no harm.
