Heidi Scott IS NOT Obama

It is no secret that Indies help carry Obama into office (that, and the fact McCain’s running mate was a batshit crazy extremist) But is he beginning to polarize independents? While it doesn’t surprise me that Doogard is leading in the polls, this tidbit of info did surprise me;

Daugaard has a double-digit lead among voters not affiliated with either major party

Remember, like most indies, I like to vote for the best candidate, most of the time that means voting for the lesser evil. Heidi Scott is the lesser evil, but I have a feeling people are going to associate him with Obama, the early polls are showing that.

    Because he has a “D” behind his name?

    That “D” stands for “douchebag” in his case, but his commercials are entertaining and right on the money.

  2. Well, he is a moderate, and he needs to show that in the campaign.

  3. Like the Mayor’s race, the primary systyem is leading to splits which prevent the best (ie most qualified) candidate from advancing. It should’ve been Dooguard vs. Knudsen and the rest should’ve stayed home or been offered jobs not to run, in true Obama fashion.

    Dooguard got the Rounds supporters and his sense of inevitability also got the establishment behind him in droves. He was and is not the best choice, but there you go.

    Heidi-Scott isn’t going to get the “Fiscal conservatives” to jump to him as they are happy with Dooguard. The Dems are pist about his running mate and many are also pretty well throwing in the towel as far as turnout, which will hurt Stephanie big time.

    BTW…doesn’t Dooguard sound like a device you attach to your shoe to prevent you from stepping in shit? Might make a nice cartoon…just sayin’

    I would disagree with that. The Dems might not see eye to eye with her on a handful of issues, but they would much rather see her keep her seat than have Noem replace her, because Noem would be a lot worse of them than Steph would ever be.

    Keep in mind the Dems even went so far as to convince that other candidate to bow out of a primary race, so I’m guessing they are more than willing to toss their support to Stephanie when the chips fall.

    Just watch the amount of money tossed at this race over the coming months… it will make your head spin.
