My little birdy was right, Smith was angling for a job in the Huether administration. It’s okay though, if Darrin doesn’t like the job he can always QUIT!

Mayor Mike announced his replacements today;

They are: David Pfeifle, city attorney; Jill Franken, public health; Darrin Smith, community development public parking; and Sue Quanbeck Etten, central services.

I don’t have a clue about the others, maybe some of my readers can fill us in.

  1. I saw that, but was wondering about the others.

    It’s nice to see at least ONE person liked working with him at FP.

  2. I thought Smith would be a personal hero of yours, considering how he tried to shaft Munson during his first term.

  3. I don’t like ‘Quitters’ in fact it infuriates me. I don’t care what crybaby party he comes from, anyone who quits becuz they cannot get their way, is silly.

  4. How does one contact Southdacola? You’ve made it rather difficult! I would like to ask you a question

  5. does this mean darrin smith has given up on getting the smoking ban passed in south dakota too?

  6. Huether let go some of the disfunctional. There’s more, but this is a start. Judy Buseman had her nose into everything but Health. She fit with Munson corruption but doesn’t belong in democracy or our neighborhoods. Mike Hall is a good person but he wasn’t paying attention while city administration was falling apart and citizens were being tormented.

    Rowenhorst is the root of ‘usual bid process’ where contracts were let for twice cost. He can go together with 3 of his 6 assistant directors.

    Shawna House-Should-Land-On-Her (planning/zoning) should never have been hired and will not be missed. She should go yet this week.

    Brad Hartmann (code enforcer) is a liability problem because of his ‘night club bouncer’ tactics. He was forced to resign from the Highway Patrol and terminated from the city of Vermillion before being hired. He and Tornow are the source for constitutional violations that prevent the city from renewing it’s liability insurance. They’re why the city has resorted to outside legal council.

    Just don’t fire Tornow. He’ll be the only witness required in state court when Home Rule is revoked. He’s sacrificed many city personnel to keep his job and he’s safe because he must be kept as witness against the city.
