I think the East Bank neighborhood, near 8th & RR, has the potential to become just about the coolest neighborhood in Sioux Falls. I really hope they do it right when they tear out the railyard, and don’t just put in a strip mall on the place.

I completely agree. If we could keep the feel of that area and bring in some new entertainment venues – preferrably with some live music and young atmosphere – it would really make the east bank take off.
It’s really perfect for that kind of development.
Lattitude 44 has some great potential, but they just have no clue how to promote the acts they’re bringing in. All too often, I discover somebody good has played there a week or so after it’s happened.
By the way, the Queen City Bakery is absolutely awesome. Best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted.
