Would you vote for Noem if she was fat and ugly?
Just curious. Leave your comments.

US CONGRESS
NOEM 49% • HERSETH 48% • MARKING 3%
Do I think Steffy can still pull this off? Sure. But after the last two debates, I think Marking has stolen some ground, but I also think his vote will be split between the two candidates. With Noem’s Thune endorsement and bus tour I think it will be hard for Steffy to emerge. Oh well. It really doesn’t matter, Noem and Herseth have something in common, they are both politicians that spew worthless crap that no one cares about.
GOVERNOR’S RACE
DOOGARD 57% • HEIDI-SCOTT 43%
While Scott has been gaining ground, it is hard to compete with Doogard and raising 2x as much and campaigning for 3 years. I also think what hurts Scott is the fact that he is Republican light. There was no Democrat in the race this year.
MINNEHAHA COUNTY COMMISSION
1) BENINGA 2) BARTH 3) NESIBA
Though it pains me to see Beninga win this, I think his name recognition will put him in, I also think that is what will launch Barth (incumbent) and Nesiba.
MINNEHAHA COUNTY AUDITOR
LITZ 70% • NIPE 30%
While I would love to see Bob leave the council, I would rather it would not be this way. Nipe has virtually done NO campaigning. I couldn’t even tell you what she looks like and I have only seen ONE yard sign. Bob’s name recognition will win him this seat. It is a little scary though considering he thinks this is a ‘management job’ and not an ‘auditor job’. Maybe someone should tell him what an auditor does before he punches in on our dime the first day. He also has made the comment that the state runs 80% of his budget so it can’t be that tough of a job. Gawd help us.
IM 13
YES 50.5% • NO 49.5%
Okay, I know I am bias on this issue AND the polling doesn’t look good for IM13, BUT, think about it. How many people are going to say “Yes, I support legalizing Mary Jane.” to a pollster that knows their name? It’s different in a ballot box and polling on medical marijuana has always been off across our country. It may not pass, but I sure as Hell don’t trust the polling.
IM 12
YES 62% • NO 38%
This a forgone conclusion. People hate smoking. Done deal.
Please. Turn the light switch off.
Oh, I know, like the Gargoyle Leader, I’m sure no one cares about my endorsements, but here they are, suckers . . .
• John Thune. Leave it blank. Make a statement, even though no one is running against him let your voice be heard, by not saying anything.
• Thomas Marking. While I disagree with Marking on the Fair Tax concept and Healthcare reform, I still think he is more knowledgable on the issues then Noem or Steffy. He also vows not to play party politics which excites me. Okay, we both know he will not win, but please don’t waste your vote in the other camps. It’s kinda like drinking decaf.
• Governor’s race. Leave it blank. Neither candidate deserves to be governor. While one of the Republicans is smarter then the other, I feel like this is a race between the established SD GOP and the unestablished GOP. It’s kinda disgusting. I also like that fact that Heidi-Scott admitted his ‘competing casino’ idea didn’t get much traction. Yah think?!
SOS: Ben Nesselhuf. After watching his opponent’s commercial about voter registration falsehoods, I decided that Ben is the real choice. Maybe Jason can be a spokesperson for Jenny Craig instead (you should get Pat Powers to come with you to the meetings).
• AG. Leave it blank. This is like picking between Hitler and Che Guevara 🙂
• PUC: Dusty Johnson. Maybe it’s his Charlie Brown appeal, who knows. I have disagreed with Dusty on a number of issues, but I will give him credit, he has reached out to me and clarified his stances. While I think he could do more on green energy in our state, I also think he would be the only one to discuss this with. He knows his shit. Hands down. Don’t fear the ginger.
• Yes on IM13. Mary Jane is our friend. Big Pharma is not.
• Yes on IM12. Duh.
• Minnehaha County commission; Nesiba and Barth. Both men have displayed genuine concerns for county residents. I really don’t give a shit who you vote for as the 3rd candidate. Just don’t vote for that condescending creep Beninga who constantly cried about me being in his shoes everytime I showed up to a council meeting. If you don’t like those shoes, why do you keep wearing them?
What a jackass. Seriously.
As Ed’s service to our country is honorable – it is definately not comparable to Beck’s service;
Beck also got emotional when he acknowledged audience member Ed Assman of Pierre, a combat veteran who received two Purple Hearts for wounds sustained in Vietnam. During the VIP reception before the keynote speech, Assman attached a Purple Heart pin — which awardees may purchase — to Beck’s lapel and spoke softly to him for a few moments. Beck hugged Assman and wept in response.
“What I said was, ‘Mr. Beck, the two Purple Hearts I got in Vietnam pale in comparison to the hits you take on a daily basis for us, for flag, for God and for country,†Assman said after meeting with Beck.
Oh, Puke!
