Interesting. I noticed much of it is from a liberal perspective. One that stands out is that he apparently made it ok for photographers to be on site when the military dead are returned to the U.S.. It’s a solemn thing and he wants to make a media spectacle of it. Another reason he is not representative of us, he is too disconnected.

It’s called freedom of the press you douche. Have you seen a huge increase in the number of caskets shown on the front page of newspapers? No, but at least now people won’t be prosecuted or barred from seeing those patriots unloaded from a cargo plane. It allows all Americans to witness the true impact, and it would be rather unpatriotic to suggest we should sweep it under the rug and pretend it isn’t happening.
It’s a solemn thing and Americans should be able to see, and mourn those that gave their lives.
Jim, photographers have always been able to photograph this. The only reason it was taken away is because too many were dying in the Iraq war with no “results”. It was the Bush Administration’s idea to “hide” the deaths so they didn’t have to take more heat for a ill-conceived plan of war.
Jim people like you are the reason America can’t move forward and find harmony. You are ignorant, devoid of rational thought and spew your rhetoric instead of truth or well-thought out responses.

It’s not a media spectacle, it’s reality. People die in wars.

It reminds me why we must return to diplomacy as foreign policy.
Uh Jim, since when did the facts become the exclusive realm of “liberals’ perspective”? Oh, I forgot – since Nixon. Sorry.
LMAO!
