Seems Denny forgot what office he was elected to. From my email box;

Looks like Daugaard was in Washington yesterday according to the Argus to discuss the terribly oppressive Health Care Act. But actually he was seen behind Boehner to discuss the permanent tax cuts. So he was really there for his new GOP marching orders… Make us proud Dennis!

He almost looks like a person who showed up to a convention late and was walking around to different booths looking for something, anything. I heard Dusty was at Lucy’s advice booth.

  1. The look on his face is like a tourist who just stumbled onto some event – checking out how all those camera thingies and them other things that one guy is talking into work. Jaw hanging open, saying to self “Wow, am I REALLY on TV?”

  2. He keeps poor company, the Orange Man is absolutely worthless.
    Isn’t the woman on the left the new gov. of SC, Nikki Haley, who half of SC had an affair with? At least a lot of men came out with that story.

  3. i can’t help but chuckle at you hyper partisan folks. dennis is a R so crucify him. politically he’ll do what politicians do. as if being a D makes any better politician. open your eyes to the big picture people – they’re all corrupt – or will be if in office for any length of time. if you think one party is better your foolish. yes dennis is an R so the d’s should crucify him as a politician. if you knew him personaly, he is (was) a good person. johnson WAS a good person too. so WAS daschle. and we ………… are fucked.

  4. Well, it looks like the more qualified one found his way to the press conference. The other was working at her desk, as the secretary, placing an order with dominoes

  5. “he was hiking the Appalachian Trail.”

    No need, when you can stay a Vahalla and not tell anyone.

  6. Lets just be honest…he got more publicity at this press conference then he ever did as lt. governor.

  7. Dennis will turn out to be 1 million times better than Mike Rounds. Rounds was an absolutely terrible Governor. I for one am glad he is gone.

    Great pic!

  8. Daugaard is starting to share a bit too many traits with his boss though. First he starts off by hiring his family members to state jobs even before being sworn in, next he is appointing people to positions that the people voted to fill with others less than 30 days ago , and now he is taking trips to Washington for photo-ops.

    Is this what he meant when he said he was “job ready”? I guess eight years under Rounds gave him a lot of OJT, but it isn’t what I really wanted from him.

  9. What Costner said…..too many traits with his boss and I would add the old bosses before that. The behind the scenes deals that have happened for the last 38 years will never be told. But they do get passed on to the new guy so that he can fill his coffers.
