John, your’e such a f’ing tease. Where’s the handcuffs and whips?
In an interview with ABC News, Sen. John Thune (R-SD) sounds like he’s increasingly likely to run for president.
Said Thune: “I think that these are interesting times. You always want to look at where you can best serve your country and make a difference and, obviously, there’s a big opportunity on the national field. There are a lot of good candidates out there. I don’t know, at this point, whether I’ll be one of those, but I want to be in a place where I can make a difference.”
And for more Thune-Bag funness, check out this post, and this website.
So Thune wants to be in a place where he can make a difference. You would think the SENATOR would realize that he is in a place where he “could” make a difference for the citizens of SD and the USA. Guess he has no plans of doing that.
I have no doubt he is running.
Conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg wrote this about Thune – “Thune will probably discover early that his Senate colleagues telling him to run isn’t necessarily a compliment. In many respects, Thune is the GOP version of John Kerry — a candidate with very presidential hair who seems “electable†despite not having done much of anything.”

Thune is either going to do amazingly well or he is setting himself up for a VP nod.
I think he will be a VP nod – just from observing what’s all being stirred in the pot….
Think the Dan Nelson connection isn’t enough evidence of Thuniocracy? Recall the Rick Warren connection.
Thune as VP. Funny.
If the GOP ticket in 2012 is Bachmann/Thune, and they win. Then I am leaving and getting far far away…
I’m starting to learn this song, and I’m kinda liking it;

Thune as VP, where he can continue doing as little as possible. It suits him.
