The first time I saw ‘The Reverend Horton Heat’ we were talking after the show, and I asked him, who was his biggest inspiration? He laughed and said, “Funny story, I thought I was king shit because I had this rockabilly cover band and one night one of my punk rock friends said, you should come to The Cramps show with me. It changed my life, I was in awe, and I changed the way I played music after that.”
Seeing the Cramps live in a small San Francisco club is easily one of my top 5 of all time.
I hate you. What a band to see in a club.
