  1. I think the Elephant in this toon borrowed his suit from Roger ‘Humpty Dumpty’ Hunt. The thing that always makes me laff about Roger is that is gutt is so big, I doubt he has seen his pee-pee in years, which may explain his obsession with other women’s uteri.

  2. I just emailed the Governor and told him shame for thinking SD women are to dumb to make their own decisions. His wife should put him in his place for thinking that way.

  3. I agree with Joan. Apparently DooGard trusted his wife to manage his campaign funds but she is too damn dumb to manage her own personal healthcare.

  4. What shocks me is that the media (local and national) is not talking about the Unruh’s role in this. On face value, some (not me) could conclude that there is nothing wrong with seeing a counselor…if there are a variety of them available and they get to choose. Instead, they’re almost forced to spend time with these nutjobs who almost brag about their brand of coercion, and who I’m sure will be begging the state for funding any day now.

  5. That bothers me also. I think most South Dakotans are like me in regards to abortion. Personally I am opposed to it, but think I have NO say in other people’s decisions. Obviously, these centers want to convince women to not have an abortion, because Jesus says so.

  6. Unruh’s part in this bill certainly isn’t making much news. I can understand why she favors it, she will be laughing all the way to the bank. It is a win win for her, she gets clients and she makes money. Too bad she doesn’t get audited.
And then it would appear that Jena, who is employed by Leslie’s husband votes yes on a bill that will improve Leslie’s financial status.

  7. Correction: Jenna is NOT employed by Allen Unruh, she works for another Chiro.

I am not sure how the Alpha Center makes money from these women? The only way I could see this being a money maker is that the more women they help the more donors they will get? Or maybe Medicade would cover this counseling? Not sure.

Leslee reads my site. Maybe she could answer the question for us?
