Wow, I would love to climb these stairs and change the time on the clock!

The four flights of steep, narrow steps that spiral the inside of the clock tower are free-standing, according to Bill Hoskins, director of Siouxland Heritage Museums. “The stairway isn’t supported by the building,” he said. “Basically, it’s a system where if any specific component fails, the whole thing will fail.”

Danger! Danger! Will Robinson.

  1. So this could actually be a stairway to heaven?

Let me know if you get the urge and I’ll join you, if that thing can support one fat fuck, it can support two.

You will need help changing the time; to 4:20 of course.

I think it would be a blast to climb those stairs! I love the old courthouse museum. It is so beautiful and it smells old and fantastic. It is one my favorite places in SF.

That is to catch you in case you fall. BTW, I find it kinda cool the courthouse was built the same year my house was, 1889.
