Finalists will participate in a public forum hosted by the City Council and moderated by the League of Women Voters on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 6:30 p.m.
The remaining seven City Council members will vote to fill the vacancy at their City Council Meeting on Monday, April 4, 2011, at 7 p.m.
Councilor looks good on a resume but Sioux Falls councilors have no responsibility or authority in Home Rule Charter. They should be embarassed they’re puppets to make city government resemble democracy. The mayor has absolute power and we are all subject to his tyranny. Councilors should know when they’re seen in public it’s not respect but more of a prisoner perp walk.
That forum was a joke.
