This is a picture I took with my cellphone in the Warhol movie room (unedited) (Even though I was told to NOT TAKE PICTURES (which I find ironic, because it is the base of all of Andy’s art). I also find the $10 fee to be extremely high for an exhibit that is in EVERY SINGLE POP ART WING of every major art museum in the country.

The most interesting part of the exhibit was the polaroids and photos. Also, ironically, have their permanent home in SF, and have been on display for free in SF in the past at Augustana College.

I think it would be cool to give everyone a dollar for visiting the exhibit, and experiencing America’s greatest artist besides Ed Roth and James Starkey. I think this would make Andy giddy.

I also appreciated the embrace from a friend when we realized we were both seeing the exhibit for the first time at the same time.

I feel a Norman Rockwell painting coming on. Nope. Just indigestion.

  1. I also have an idea. If any individual wants to see the exhibit for free, please contact me. We could have some fun.

  2. Dude…are you deleting comments? I thought I saw a couple more earlier that were kind of funny. Maybe I’m wrong. Sorry.

  3. NO. I do however have a spam filter that sends me the comments first. Some times the filtered comments don’t get thru to me email because of more filtering.

So, no, I have not deleted any comments so far in reference to Andy.

  4. thanks for the warning. proves eventually everything will come to south dakota. HOWEVER…if you have not seen warhol stuff in person, i would still urge you to expose yourself, though not literally (and try to learn what point he was possibly making, or if there was a point at all), and i heartily commend the pavillion for bringing the exhibit, no matter how many corporate sponsors it may have required.

ten bucks will buy you a coke, two whoppers and fries fer chris’ sake. BURGER KING, yeah!

  5. Definately, for people who have not seen Warhol’s stuff before, it is worth it, but us hardcore Andy fans will be a bit bored.
