While I commend I.L. for filing the complaint, I don’t think it really matters. This issue won’t be addressed until after the election. Huether will just use the complaint to point out the negativity of the opposition.

  1. No mention of this on the MSM tonight. Also, no mention of Sue Roust’s first report to the Council as interim city clerk. She has scrutinized the budget for the upcoming vote and says the mayor under-budgeted the cost of the election by at least 15%. Hmm, imagine that!

Also wondering where councilors Rolfing and Entenman have been lately. Diamond Jim has missed TWO of the last three council meetings, and Random Rex has missed at least THREE, if not all four, meetings since the firing of Debra Owen. What gives?

More good things to come, Sioux Falls. Make it a great day!

  2. Please….Roust’s report was rather prominenetly featured on KELO at 6 PM anyway (and I don’t even watch local TV news- it was an accident that they came up). We can find enough shortcomings on the MSM without hoping to find even more egregious idiocies.

  3. thc – I just finished reviewing the KELO newscasts on their web site. Nice try, but there was no mention of Roust at 6pm. KELO did mention the added election cost briefly in a live report at 5pm, and I apologize for my mis-statement. I was still at Town Hall then and missed the 5pm news. I’m still disappointed that nothing was said at 6pm or 10pm on ANY station, and they all had cameras in the room when she gave her report.

Only today’s Argus has the I.L. story. True to form, I expect we’ll see reports on all three stations tonight including an interview with the Mayor talking about what a tough job he has.

    Make it a great day!

  4. Corn – The sad part about Rex missing the meetings is that they have authorized him in the past to attend the meetings (and I believe vote) thru Skype or similiar software, I guess he has given up on that too.

  5. May not be addressed until after the election. If he wants to get after mike on the thing, needs a prelim injunction or TRO. He could get that before election which would not doubt would royally piss off Mike in his push to ram this thing through.

  6. DEoes anyone really think this complaint will be won against the Mayor.. while it’s filed with a board that’s appointed by the Mayor?

    Not a friggn chance fellas.

  7. It was more important for KELO to waste yesterday’s top story on the police department doing training exercises. I’ve never understood why they consider this news…let alone the top story.
