Now you see me. Now you don’t.

I’m not the only one who has noticed that Mr. Rolfing has been absent from the past two city council meetings, and has seemed to miss quite a few meetings since he has become a councilor. I understand that the city councilors serve as part-time public servants and that Rolfing has to make a living and has other business to attend to privately. But one is starting to wonder if he is really into this job or not, missing some very important votes recently. I have always been under the impression that people serve as public servants because they want to SERVE the public. If Mr. Rolfing’s personal life is too hectic to serve on the council properly, maybe he should resign and have someone take his seat who wants to do the job.

  1. Rex probably also doesn’t have time to approve city contracts like his buddy Diamond Jim.

  2. But he made sure that he stated that highly thought of people in this town “were taking their ball and going home.” Who the hell does he think he is?

  3. Rolfing is simply a Huether/Entenman flunky. Nothing more or less.

He’s also not very bright, which makes him dangerous on the Council. Be glad he’s missing meetings.

  4. People like Rex irk me a bit, because if I had the time and money I would be on the city council, and would take the job very seriously. Rex is known thru the soccer association and his fund raising efforts at memorial park. People often don’t look at who is representing them, just how well they know them. I hope people realize that Rex has very little time for them.

  5. We’ve got one like him in the family. He’s a mechanical engineer who thinks everything will fix its self. At least there are some like Rex who will do the bare minimum out of shame. What does he hope to accomplish?

  6. He is beginning to sound like Quen Be De Knudson. Everytime you turned around she would be telling you how tough of a job being a city councilor was so you would feel sorry for her. I don’t feel sorry for any of them, you signed up for the gig, now do your job or beat it.
