Let’s print T-shirts. No Home Rule logo on the other side. Maybe a printed bow tie at the neck so can be worn to city council meetings.
Hey, that’s a good cartoon.
Those of us who know the inside story (and I’m quite confident I do now) – slimy as it is – know what name (or TWO names) will be on the building (IF Legends can clean up the mess). I’ll leave it at that. Even if you don’t know the inside story, its not hard to guess what two companies I’m talking about.
Does Studio One still exist in town? Does anybody here have any information about Studio One from back in the late 60s-mid 70s? I am looking for information about whether or not anything happened to the owner or operator, whatever he was. He was married to one of my cousins. I had heard rumors about the involvement over the years, but one day when I was looking for his obituary online, for my genealogy stuff, I found a couple tiny little newspaper articles in the Huron, SD paper from back in the 70s that mentioned his name, but nothing was said about whether or not the theater was closed or if or what kind of punishment was handed out. If anybody has any info I would appreciate it.
Studio one still exists but under a different name.
Home video killed the theater portion of studio one, not any criminal or civil action. They moved on to selling vids, toys, and novelties, which they still do to this day.
The Fryn’ Pan Events Center. Lord knows we don’t have enough of those greasepits in this town.
The Waffle House Event Center
I still think the South DaCola Events center has a nice ring to it.
BNSF – Menard’s Events Center
If it’s the South Dacola Events, the mayor should put Scott on the Events Center Board…
