Today at the press conference to announce more contractors for building the EC, someone asked (paraphrasing),
“Will the public get to see who the other contractors were that submitted RFP’s but were not awarded work?”
As of right now, the public does not know who else submitted RFP’s.
I guess, as part of the agreement with Mortensen, they would not have to give that information to the public.
Seriously?!
This is our money they are spending, we have a right to now.
I know of at least one councilor that is checking to see if this is true.
I predicted they would announce who got the shitter contract. LOL!
It’s why we’re Home Rule and they have not amended ordinances per Supreme Court ruling. There is no competitive bid process. Contracts were awarded before there was a vote or a site. I wish someone would listen. This is the biggest scam in state history. Citizens deserve a bankrupt city if they can’t see what’s happened.
Muni bond fraud is happening across the nation. People think they’re safe and better than bank interest. Wherever money travels there’s fraud. Id like to except SD. Savy investors already know to steer clear. 8 of 110 million has already come in and burned on frivolous projects with major skimming.
In 2 years I’ll not say ‘told you so’. It’s to hard to shoot a dying horse.
Just saying. Here is a good vent when nobody sees. Sorry, but thanks for this avenue.
We need a mayor who will live on 100k & not use the office for public funds fraud to become a multi-millionaire. A Mayor who lives in your neighborhood & drives your kids to soccer when you have to work late.
I wouldn’t let this mayor drive my dog around the block.
Where’s the blue pickup? It can become a political device to get Debra Owen elected. Fill the bed with Events Center blueprints and the cab with monopoly money. There isn’t going to be an events center. Get used to it.
‘Fill the bed with Events Center blueprints and the cab with monopoly money.’
Now that’s an image I won’t be able to get out of my head for awhile. LOL!
