A reliable source told me this morning that he probably is. Apparently he has been sending out fundraising letters with signed copies of this magazine. It’s speculation at this point, but I would love to see a copy of the supposed letter.
It could also be a ploy. I don’t understand fully how fundraising works, but I think(?) if you have a campaign fund you can use that fund to run for other offices. There has been discussion that Mike may be pursuing running for Governor. What’s stopping him from switching gears next year?
Not sure.
I’m in full support for him to run for Governor.
He’ll never be governor. His corruption will be exposed before the next gubanatorial election. West River will never allow an elected sissy city boy.
Sissy? He went full steam trying to catch an out of bounds tennis ball.
Isn’t he from Yankton? I bet he runs on a Yankton boy platform. (first line of his mayors page mentions Yankton)
Huether might have a chance for Governor if he can maintain a non ideologue platform. Both parties are consumed with ideologues. And if Huether can get typically big money R’s to support his bid he’s one step closer.
I bet Huether runs for reelection unless he is presented an open House seat in ’14.
The money he raises in his mayoral fund can transfer to any state office but I don’t think a federal race unless he cashes out the campaign fund and reports it as personal income he then can invest his money into his federal race.
“The money he raises in his mayoral fund can transfer to any state office”
That’s what I thought, thanks for the clarification.
