It appears the only way the GOP (grumpy old people) can win the national election this year is using the ALEC supplied and backed money to steal the elections. They are DOING what they said Acorn was accused of. Just remember when listening to the holier than thou group speak, look behind the curtain to see the real crimes.
Republican legislators in Pierre caucus with only a select group. Not even all republicans can gain entrance to their tactical planning meetings. The regular players in the caucus are ALEC members who have brought their bag of bills from ALEC conventions to push through the Legislature. Some bills may be subtle, changing semantics or modifying a process. A few years of that and they’ve made significant changes in front of everyone to include the press and no one says a word. And they’re worried about socialism.
Jo, they’re not REALLY worried about socialsim – they just want voters to worry about it – instead of them. It’s the same with the “small government/cut spending” meme. Just watch what they do vs. what they say. The Repubs in this state are almost all funded by out-of-state PACs and almost all outspend the dem candiates by factors of multiplication. As mor and more PACs pay pay pay them, they’ll spend spend spend.
