“Rep. David Novstrup voted against a non-partisan redistricting commission today in the House State Affairs committee. You have to listen to his reasoning yourself to believe it.”

Kind of hard to determine what his reasoning is from 16 seconds of audio. But it’s clear in those 16 seconds he sounds nervous.
Consider this article as you think about his nervous comments: http://nymag.com/news/features/republican-party-2013-2/
David is a person who has grown up a member of the privileged ruling class of South Dakota. He has grown up a Republican without understanding what GOP values are except what he has been indoctrinated with. I don’t know for sure but he was probably a T.A.R. baby only knowing how to win by cheating.
Read the article and enjoy the hate their activities are generating around the United States.
What? An actual Republican opposed to local control?
The irony of all this is that Repugs like David seem to think voters are SMART enough to elect their ilk, but that their intelligence ends there. To further that irony, all of the ballot initiatives this past year got rejected, concocted by these same ELECTED jackwads. Still puzzled why SD voters continue to elect these morons and their policies then reject those policies at the polls.
Just like the the comments made during petition drive. Citizens should not be allowed to interfere with their decisions. ‘We’ elect them to their position so quit bothering them. We were told it should be unconstitutional to petition officials. David does not want to be bothered by us.
He is not the only one in the majority party serving in the SD Legislature that can’t think and talk. I am amazed at the way the voters of S.D. continue to elect these nimwads just because they have an “R” by their name.
CS – It also puzzles me that we continue to elect people (in both parties) that have ZERO regard for the ones that elect them. Then we re-elect them while overturning their bad legislation in the form of initiatives. Is society becoming dumber? You be the judge.
He sounds like a male version of kristie noem.
I almost expected him to end with:
“I’m not saying, I’m just saying.”
scott – Kristie is waaayyyy smarter (and less nervous) to this turd.
