Big surprise here . . . not;

Blake Curd, a Sioux Falls orthopedic surgeon, was tapped Wednesday to replace Mark Johnston in the state Senate. Johnston resigned last month to accept a new job with Sanford Health.

Make no mistake, this is about money and bringing in the teabaggers.

  1. Enjoy the Blog a great deal. Can we all stop using the term teabaggers? Quite frankly its childish and downright gross. Thanks.

  2. “Make no mistake, this is about money and bringing in the teabaggers.”

    Yah, because Gov DD gets along so well with Teabaggers.. Seriously, you know that’s about ignorant as possible.. Go over to the war college to se how well Teabaggers and the establishment get along..

  3. DD needs some street cred to keep TeaBaggers in line so he sends Dr. Fester to Pierre to make a splash.

  4. I love reading Dakota War College. It’s a delicious reminder of how schizophrenic conservatives are in South Dakota. And yet, they somehow win all the elections…

  5. Outside – It is only gross if you are the giver and not the receiver, I am just saying.

  6. I bet Manny is jealous. He’s termed-out from the State House after next year’s session.

    Maybe we can have a Manny v. Blake Republican State Senate primary next June. You know, “I am more Tea Party than you type of race.” It’s the only way the Dems will get that seat back in 2014.

  7. Need to get some more of those special Blake Curd campaign videos made where he is all driving around town in the car talking Tea Party ideology to himself, just like Travis Bickle or something.

  8. PL – While your comment was extremely hilarious, I still had to delete it. There is a reason why little old ladies don’t like to read my blog.

  9. l3wis,

    You set the tone of the blog with all the name calling you do. Honestly, I know you would get more credit and consequently become more influential if you cleaned it up.

  10. Not sure I would make fun of Dr Curd. He is one of the only guys in town who knows how to reattach an appendage if you cut it off or lose it in an accident. An amazing well trained orthopedic surgeon.

    You might find your hand sewn to your forehead.
