if that would’ve happened to my in laws, they would’ve kept on the clerk until they got the diapers for free!
Walmart is a machine People who believe the slogan on tv are sadly mistaken. Jeff Schmitt on the pre planning again lied like hell about zoning saying they always have buffers to ensure rs residential are protected. Where on shape places allows a c4 fckn Walmart to be across the street from rs zoning. We kept showing the issues but Cooper all he could say was we will try harder next time. Quit lying and protecting mmm and rmb investments unless Jeff Schmitt is
benefitting too at taxpayer expense. Where is the states attorney office or Phyllis heideman been to stop this crap. I voted for you where the hell are you Phyllis?
While I commend Mrs. Flynn for what she has done, her generosity should NOT be the focus of the story. The focus should be on how big of assholes Walmart is. They continually have horrible customer service and treat their consumers like shit. If I was the lady looking for the price break, and Mrs. Flynn, I would have just gone to the store that was offering the lower price. But instead of telling WM to go to Hell, they gave into their BS rule and gave them money.
it could also have been the other store’s special was “limit 1 per customer”.
The fine print, gets you every time. WM should be kissing this woman’s feet for doing this for the young Mom.
scott, that is what I was thinking. It’s nice another customer could afford to do this for a young mother. I know I wouldn’t have been able to do it. Stores do have to have rules, no matter what store it is. When I look at the ads there are getting to be more of them that will have at least on product on sale that you have to buy a certain number of the item otherwise each on is a little bit higher. The same goes with coupons you have to buy more than one in order to use the coupon.
I have seen similar “acts of kindness” in other stores. But most have been the lady behind the person checking out is in a big hurry and just wants to get the hell through the line. So she hands over some cash to speed things along.
So DL since you don’t go to Walmart, what experiences have your had with their customer service to note how bad it is and how they treat their customers?
‘Used’ to go there, that’s why I don’t anymore. And everytime I bought something there, it would break right away. A few years ago someone gave me a $10 gift card to WM, and I went there thinking, “What can I buy that won’t break.” I bought a bag of sidewalk melt. Funny thing, when I was unloading it out of my car, the bag ripped open and spilled all over my trunk.
I found it ironic last night that the council candidate that was running against the anti-Walmart candidate made a comment at the end of city council meeting about how Carol Flynn’s good deed made national news and commended her . . . yet not one single word about WM’s shitty customer service.
WM in Worthington sells bulk tortillas and the right sauce for enchiladas. They also have the 10 year survivalist food buckets. When I’m old and living on social security I want to eat that rather than cat food.
Minnesota is no tax on food or clothing. Buy bulk there. It’s a nice drive. I’d rather pay for gas than fund indoor sports for rich kids.
AmericaOnline had this video as one of their headliners. It links to their “Newsy” page and it was discussed by the pretty blonde girl and showed KSFY’s interview of Ms. Flynn. After that video, there were about 5 or 6 videos of other WM incidences that were all negative, including a shootout inside one and a cop killed at another, a bathroom Nazi/mistreated employee. So, that makes me feel better than ever about that viral video.
