I was so glad to see the people that spoke about the need for Paratransit services. From different people that I have talked to it sounds like if a person has any mobility at all, they are no longer on the service. I spoke to one person that has a friend that works in a nursing home and said that as long as the people residing in that nursing home had family in town they had to depend on the family to take them places. However, by having to do that, it takes away from the individual’s independence. As a former Paratransit rider I saw a lot that makes me think part of the problem was poor scheduling. For example there was a while that in the apartment complex that I live in I was getting picked up at one building and there was a guy getting picked up at the same time in a building two buildings down the line. We were both going the same general direction. Eventually one of the drivers decided to say something at the office and after that the young man and I ended up riding the same bus, which makes more sense. I also saw a lot of other things that didn’t make sense. I haven’t rode for about 1 1/2 years and my mentally handicapped daughter hasn’t been able to ride for almost a year now. She had to quit her job of 10 years because she doesn’t feel safe riding the fixed route buses. For myself, when I have a medical appointment instead of taking Paratransit, I now have to pay a cab between $25.0-$30.00 for a round trip.
Maybe Rex went crazy because of the Invocation quoted Harry Potter?
Praise to you Mr. Wiederman. It’s important for citizens to know city civil procedures are unconstitutional and unenforceable because there’s no appeal process. They’ve resorted to jailing those who demand their civil rights and due process. The local media will eventually have to come out of the closet and report this once CNN & FOX satellite trucks appear.
Rex forgot about his restraining order. You’re there like the cowboy band at Wall Drug. Unless Hollywood Huether puts a quarter in, you don’t play councilor. Let’s hope the man who owns this city doesn’t deduct a couple thousand from your next election campaign contribution.
Oh the cowboy band at wall drug, I remember that well, I think Rex was playing the fiddle, no it was fiddle faddle. If he was at least truthful about the walfart at 69th and Cliff then the frkn thing would have been built, but it would have conflicted with his twin home 2 or 3 blocks away, not a frckn RS single family 200 ft away, what a sack of crap he is.
