Mr. Danielson’s case is NOT the only one. Several citizens have been coming out after the verdict on Friday that they are also being ‘criminally’ charged for violations. So now we have a code enforcement department that is treating people who have things ON THERE OWN PROPERTY like common criminals instead just civil code violators.
Staggers speaks up but nobody’s listening (crickets). It was brought out at trial that Danielson’s neighbors (all sides) had actual & severe infractions that the zoning department head forgave days before the trial. I looked at satellite imagery. There’s clearly major code enforcement issues. Im wondering how neighbors could see into his yard at all given their building and trees obstruction. The subdivision was annexed into the city years ago with an agreement not to impose codes or assessments on present conditions. Shawna Goldhammer must have an ethics hearing.
This is blatant discrimination intended to punish Danielson for his involvement in petition drives and going against Huether. It’s not an isolated case. I endured it and there are many new cases of citizens put in jail. This is not what this combat vet fought for. It’s disgusting. If Huether doesn’t stop it and fire the city attorney, there should be demonstrations and a civil rights action. They can post their armored vehicles around city hall instead of using them to tear up our lawns or surround Huether for parades.
