I think if a suspect actually exists (which I believe there was SOMEONE or SOMETHING there) and they are offering a reward, why not give the public a few more clues, like releasing the audio recording of his body microphone, and also releasing a map of the crime scene? I think this would be helpful clues so the public can help apprehend the suspect.

But neither have been offered.

Secondly, I think using misleading statements when asking for the resident’s assistance in the matter, isn’t wise either. After the reward was offered, the detective on the case says the officer was ‘assaulted’. First off, what we have been told was the officer ‘thought’ the suspect had a firearm, that was never fired. He could have been pointing his finger. Not sure how pointing a finger or even a cellphone at an officer all of sudden has turned into assault.

My assumption all along was that this person didn’t have a gun and probably ran like a mofo after being fired at 8 times.

Good luck with your ghost hunt.

  1. This whole story is suspicious. What were the police doing there? Nobody in their right mind would approach a police car with criminal intent. It would be another police embarrassment if he/she showed up for the reward stating there was a carload of beer drinking teens who drove away. It was cold & the one teen thought he was rescued but instead got shot at 8 times.

  2. LOL – Probably pointed a bottle of Coors Light at the officer, I know when people offer me a bottle of CL, I feel like I’m being assaulted, or at least insulted.

  3. I know! I know! It was a Sasquatch or Aliens. SFPD killed it and the Feds covered it up.

  4. It was Pennywise from Stephen King’s IT movie, kind of has similarities to MMM the a clown he is alive and well in Sanford Falls

  5. Seems to me, if we really want to get to the bottom this, one fundamental question must be asked: “Who ya gonna call?”

  6. I think it was a deer that stepped on a branch/twig and it “snapped” – like a shot.

  7. PS – if you’ve ever been in that park around or just after sunset, you’ll notice there are a LOT a deer there, and they’re BOLD.
