stormland-faux-news

For the record it is the ‘Republican’ and ‘Democratic’ parties. Not sure when that has changed? (KELO-TV screenshot)

I wondered what the John Thune press release news station would do for coverage of the President, so I toggled back and forth between them and KSFY while watching live yesterday. I will admit KSFY did a better job, even though it got tiresome hearing Brian Allen say ‘awesome’ & ‘amazing’ every time he saw a presidential seal and grumpy-grouchy Nancy continually interrupting so she could tell us about the color of the carpet at the White House. But at least they praised the presidential visit, instead of turning it into a pouty-pants party for Noem-Rounds-Thune.

When I heard the above Stormland reporter say ‘Democrat’ party in his report and it being on closed caption, I just shook my head. This is what it has come to in the MSM in South Dakota, partisanship, awesomeness and whole lot of caring.

  1. Did anyone screen capture the Kristi Noemind greeting the President? He turned his head as in disgust by something she said. A usual was Rep. Kritter inappropriate?

  2. Obama is a great orator. I was impressed with his local references and students focus. I’m glad Huether didn’t show and try to steal the show. Watertown and trade schools in general deserve the attention.

  3. There was a time when kelo had integrity and was a truly local operation. Today it is part of a 71 station media conglomerate who’s CEO’s compensation package last year was over 6 million. Corporate entities own our airwaves and the billionaire Koch brothers own the repuglican party.

kelo tv puts out the corporate message alright, but even they can’t keep with the other kelo in town…the radio guys. Another corporate entity that regurgitates whatever Fox Entertainment News tells them.

  4. Poly43,
I hope Rep Mike Verchio is able to find the correct thread into which you placed your response to his wrongly-placed post.

Rep Verchio, thanks for dropping by to hurl an epithet. If you are going to play ‘grammar Nazi” on the internets, be correct … or at least for God’s sake, be incorrect ananymously.

    Signed,

    A SD Repub
