Over the weekend, several South DaCola foot soldiers were trying to get SIRE to work. We heard it all – I guess Nationally SIRE is making changes. We finally figured out if you are using a Microsoft Platform you can watch the videos in Explorer (ONLY). No other browsers work. On top of that, we see they have edited (again) the famous Kenny Anderson/Mayoral ass chew session, this time they have replaced the paused video frame of Councilor Erickson with the floating head of Rick Kiley. Here’s an idea, instead continuing to try to cover up something that happened, why not just post it as the original video? What are we trying to hide?

This never would’ve happened if they had kept Jodi Schwan on board.
Makes me think of the Wizard of Oz pulling magic controls behind the scenes.
Sounds like Sioux Falls needs a low power public TV station that broadcasts truth aside from city hall propaganda and local news infomercials. During the cold war there was Radio Free Europe. Something like this that reaches into the homes of suppressed citizens.
SIRE has been a problem for an extremely long time and it hasn’t been fixed. But has there been any consequences for the central services director or the head of I.T.? What were their raises at the beginning of 2015?
Take that money back and use it to get a new streaming service. Inexcusable.
It’s been a problem since Debra Owen was city clerk. I agree it should be streaming on any browser. Heck, they put all their other citylink shows on YouTube. Why not the meetings? That’s what the county does.
Debra Owen was replaced with 3 new city hires. The city terminated her. She’s found herself in state government where there doesn’t seem to be a problem with public communication and transparency. Why is it there’s always city propaganda on Channel 16 buy SIRE can’t seem to present mandated public awareness?
