While the dirt movers are f’ing around on the proposed Southside Walmart, which is in the middle of litigation, this photo after about 1.25″ of rain is discouraging. Maybe the construction trailers should be on pontoons?

After only that little amount of rain?
I’m thinking a walleye pond to make old Sam Walton want to show up and fish instead of his billionaire brats wanting to ruin neighborhoods
When that 30 acres is buildings and blacktop all that water will be running up Audie and 85th St. That should be fun. Add to that the 15 acres of blacktop Subaru will be putting in just across the street and you will see lots of water on 85th st next spring that is now sitting in fields.
It’s the new outdoor free swim pass pool for underpriveleged kids. Dig it deeper. Don’t call it Sanford or Huether. Name it Lake Walmart.
Not that I am for or against the south side Wally World, but it is called construction. The land is not currently graded for drainage nor is the more than likely required catch basins in place. Contractors, for the most part do know what they are doing, there is always exceptions however.
I say for now, let it rain , let it rain, let it rain.
