I know many who have water in their basements. Many do not realize the flood plain elevation was raised. The city got federal money to raise the Sioux River levee. They did some work but lots of the funding was misappropriated. The subsurface water table is higher. It was under your house but now runs through it. We don’t need an indoor aquatics center if we can swim in our basements.
