And as you can see from the above image, only a partial wipe (they skipped filling the line along the curb). No squares to spare I guess.

3 Thoughts on “While the Mayor’s neighborhood gets resurfaced (again) the Twin Eagles neighborhood gets TP’d

Like the comparison. The sealer and cloth thing probably has its merit. The streamers look cheap. It’s a long time before they blow away. The poly single coat is all black and is less labor. When the mayor was first elected he painted lots of streets black and called it resurfacing. It’s only an eighth inch sealer, not new 6″ asphalt. His bluff (50X less & a temp fix) worked.

I love the video clip. Brought back memories. I don’t understand why they don’t burn the vegetation and rout the dirt and get a good seal to stop water infiltration under the road
    Why
Bother to seal cracks then. I know they used city engineer staff to write a lousy spec. I guess you need s construction manager of risk for a good project. Oh crap they had one on the event center. Look at that mess

I see they got some extra squares and did the edge seal where dry. The contractor who did the work is a very good one for sure. Glad it was done right for a change
