As you may or may not heard, the city announced they will have a second, middle-aged, white, blonde woman working in the Human Rights division;

Julie most recently was the Executive Director of the Business Resource Network, a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide businesses with education, awareness, and resources to promote the successful employment of persons with disabilities. Previously, she worked for the Sanford Health Foundation and South Dakota Parent Connection. She also created the BrightLights Foundation, a volunteer program to help mentor parents of children with Down syndrome. Her volunteer work includes serving with the Disability Awareness Commission, Buddy Walk, the ADA Celebration Committee, and more.

Okay, Julie does have an impressive resume, it just lacks a little color. But the big announcement of her employment is just the tip of the iceberg. Gosh darn it, Sioux Falls, we are going to get compassionate, even if the mayor has to force it down our frickin’ throats;

News conference to announce a new initiative by the City of Sioux Falls Human Relations Office called “Compassionate Sioux Falls”

I wonder if this initiative will start in the city attorney and code enforcement offices first? Oh, that’s right, they get a free pass on being assholes. My bad.

  1. Another Huether smokescreen. Whenever he’s worried about his reputation affecting his run for governor, there’s a new appointment to offload the truth. When there wasn’t enough parking for the events center and airport, he appointed a director of parking. It’s no secret there are civil rights oriented court cases concluded and in progress. His rounding up and jailing (at county cost) the homeless is cruel. Persecuting Bruce Danielson is both unethical and harrassment. There were 5 in attendance for this appointment. The mayor, appointee, and press. Isn’t it obvious we and even the sleepy council have this figured out? I feel sorry for those appointed. Give them a fancy title with no budget then send them as dunce facing into the corner. At least give them a coloring book and colors.

  2. Huether and human rights. Ha….Ha..Ha. You can’t make this stuff up. It’s not April 1st. Unless, there’s so many kiss asses he ran out of job titles.

  3. wait til his Ethics Commission rings in, especially Sue Agular and has to defend Soros, I mean MMM with we could not find any brunettes, red heads, so we grabbed a blond to fill the slot. Since MMM thinks all the minorities are east of the rail road tracks, he couldn’t find any of those either. What a putz.

  4. enough of SP and MMM legacy: Just what do you have against white, blonde, middle aged women? Huh? Enough racism in this city already, don’t through in hair color (or coloring) — or nothing will ever get done.
