In a strange twist on election day, at the city council informational meeting they went straight into executive session for these two items. My guess from further reading state law was a discussion about whether or not to fire a city (clerk’s office) employee. The city council controls the employment of the clerk’s office workers.
UPDATE: It actually may be a sitting councilor that is in trouble.
Councilors I have talked to are silent, and won’t confirm either way.
I have my guesses who this person may be, if they are truly getting censured. There were some interesting campaign donations made, and it may be at the heart of the problem.
We will keep you posted.
Fire the hubris MMM ??,too bad this wasn’t a mayoral election year. Maybe they fired the Huether Family Tennis parking lot attendant just because they could??? LOL We the lowly city taxpayer idiots have a lot invested in a playground for the rich and snobbish a clowns. Better yet, some of the MMM council supporters fired themselves, Kiley, Erp, and the rest, have a great time with the new city council members. Can’t wait to see some tax savings and common sense finally prevail.
3 new Councilors and an existing one censured. Looks like lame duck mayor to me.
If you look at Paulson’s January 6, 2016 financials, REx Rolfing gave him $500 out of his campaign fund, wondering if this is a No No.

Paulson had Rolfing’s campaign sign in his front yard when Rolfing ran for City Council. They have been seen sitting together while attending one or more public events during this race. They were obviously members of a mutual admiration society heading into this election. Whether or not Rolfing’s donation to Paulson’s campaign is determined to violate any statutes, I don’t think any other current City Councilors made recorded donations over $99 to any other Council candidates. Maybe that’s because it just doesn’t send a good message to the electorate that two cronies are scheming to create their own voting block on City Council. Smart grownups know just how bad this looks, and would steer clear of doing it. Shame on both of these delinquents. Thankfully the voters thwarted their plan and sent Paulson packing. Shame on Rolfing. Time to give him a big reminder about to whom he’s answerable . . . . and who’s watching him.
