Well, for once, I am happy to say ‘Thanks for Nothing’ to Thune, Rounds and Noem;

Jacksonville will have to beat out at least three of the other bases in consideration since two of the five will ultimately receive F-35 squadrons.

The other locations in contention are Montgomery, Ala.; Boise, Idaho; Selfridge, Mich., and Dane County, Wis.

  1. Darn, it was a way to get people out of cubicle farm call centers. Whoops, a 4 letter word. Security, escort this man out. Words such as Darn, Vote, or Form (as in petitions) are not permitted.

  2. Well, this is definitely good news for the PAVE owners, because at least the F-35s and their noise issues won’t contribute to any new cracks….

    Do you remember when Sloux Falls use to win? We need to win again so much, that we get bored winning. I am afraid our decline began when the Vikings said “No” to us back in ’06 over our interest in having them move their training camp from Mankato to here….. Some of us remember when the Vikings played the Cowboys at Howard Wood in ’61, too, but sadly no more….. “It is time to make Sioux Falls Great Again!”……(Ha ha ha ha ha)

  3. Sioux Falls is out of the running for the F-35.

    Thank God.

    There are reasons why communities across the U.S. have resisted having this in their environments.

  4. I for one am glad, these are very noisy birds. Good luck to JAX/Cecilfield to win the bid.
